Storage is short: get the covers off and stored where you won't lose them, put the battery on a storage-mode charge, and keep it out of the board. The battery living outside the board is the rule that matters.

Steps

1. 0:29 — Clean the board down with fresh water first — see Cleaning an electric board after a ride.
2. 0:34 — Remove the engine-bay cover, put it in its cloth cover, and store it somewhere safe.
3. 0:49 — Remove the motor-bay lid with the tool provided and drop it into the magnetic tray beside its location — it stays there so it can't get lost.
4. 1:08 — Remove the battery-bay connector cover and store it somewhere safe.
5. 1:16 — Charge the battery in storage mode — it charges to about 50% and holds the battery at its best maintained state.
6. 1:25 — Lubricate around the handle to flush out any remaining salt water and keep it moving freely.
7. 1:37 — Put a little lubricant around the connectors in the battery compartment too.
8. 1:44 — Store the battery out of the board, in its protective bag, with the cover over its connectors.
