An electric board's pre-ride is quicker than a petrol one — no fuel, no engine bay. The steps that matter are seating the battery flat so the connectors mate, closing the covers to the marked arrows, and picking your power mode before you get on the water.

Prepare the board

1. 0:26 — Make sure the battery is charged.
2. 0:31 — Put the board on the stand and fit the fins — FCS, handed: a left, a right, and a centre fin. Clip each into position.
3. 0:54 — Check the connectors in the battery bay are all there and none are bent or damaged.

Install the battery

4. 1:09 — Lift the battery by its sides with all four clips undone, and lower it in flat so the electrical connectors line up and seat.
5. 1:24 — Push the battery down to seal it, then close the four caps.
6. 1:29 — A tone and the board's light confirm the battery is registered.

Fit the covers

7. 1:38 — Take the engine-bay cap off its magnetic storage spot. Start it by hand, then tighten the last bit with the supplied rubber key — up to the arrows marked on the board. Put the rubber key back in its holder.
8. 2:07 — Fit the magnetic secondary lid on top — it locates into place.

Turn on & pick a power mode

9. 2:18 — Initiate the board with the magnet in the control handle. A green light means it's ready.
10. 2:34 — Take the key out and select the power mode. Three modes: 1 = low, 2 = medium, 3 = high. The light is colour-coded, but the easy tell is the buzz — one buzz for mode 1, two for mode 2, three for mode 3.

Test start

11. 3:17 — Before you ride, do a test start: magnet into the handle, wait for the tone and green light.
12. 3:33 — Pull the throttle a little and check the motor runs and the green light stays on. That's your all-clear.
