Watch on YouTube ↗ · JETSURF USA — "JetSurf Tutorial 14: How to remove the ICU" (older tutorial, ~1 min).

A quick older-board walkthrough for pulling the ICU — riders do it to make room in the motor compartment or to carry the ICU separately when travelling. The ICU sits on the left side near the fuel tank and filter; the job is disconnecting its connectors (including the starter connector) and lifting it out. For the full step-by-step, use the newer guide below.

Written steps

Coming soon. This older video has no usable captions, so its own step list isn't written up yet. In the meantime, follow iCU removal & installation (JETSURF Service Tutorials #3) — the same job, with full steps.

Tip: photograph the ICU and every connector before you unplug anything — the connectors are keyed, but a reference shot makes reassembly certain.
Caution: disconnect the battery first and reconnect it last. The connectors pull straight off by their locking clip — never by the wire. Keep the electronics bay dry.
